After pickup from your hotel in the Duong Dong / Long Beach area, meet your local guide and choose to explore by motorbike with driver or private car (depending on the option you booked). Your guide will explain the plan for the evening and can adapt the pace and dishes to your preferences and dietary needs.
Start your food adventure with a light local snack to “warm up” your taste buds. Then continue to a simple local eatery to try Banh Mi Phu Quoc, Vietnam’s famous baguette with a special island twist. Learn how the bread is prepared, what makes the fillings unique on Phu Quoc, and how locals usually enjoy this quick and tasty meal.
Your next stop is a local restaurant serving Bun Quay, one of the most iconic dishes of Phu Quoc. Watch how the noodles, fresh seafood, and dipping sauce are prepared right in front of you. Your guide will show you how to mix the sauce like a local and explain the story behind this specialty that you can only find on the island.
As the evening gets livelier, head to the Phu Quoc Night Market. Walk through colorful stalls filled with seafood, skewers, tropical fruits, sweets, and souvenirs. Here you’ll sit down at a local seafood place to taste freshly grilled dishes – depending on the day, this might include shrimp, squid, clams, fish, or other seasonal specialties.
